(Somewhat) Frequently Asked Questions  ;)

Do you require proof of vaccination to schedule an appointment?

No, we do not require pets to be current on vaccinations.  We understand that vaccines can be expensive, or unpopular, and we don't want to turn any needy pet away.  For this reason, we clean thoroughly after each visitor with an antibacterial and germicidal solution formulated for pet areas.

My pet has been turned away from other groomers for being aggressive.  Can we still contact you for services?

Yes, of course!  That's partly why SL came about.  Our hope (and experience) is that if we work with your pet in an environment that's more comfortable for them, we'll have greater success.

Do you work solely within the Eugene and Springfield areas?

For the most part, yes.  With a single van, it's difficult to help all that we'd like if our driving time takes too much time!  However, if you're a bit out of town but in a pickle, please still give us a call.  We'll see what we can arrange.  P.S. You can view a map of our primary service area at the bottom of our Contact Us page.

Do you always work in your van or do you come in the house?

Primarily in the van.  On the grooming table, with tools at the ready to help keep your pet calm and secure, is truly the best space for us both.  If, however, we aren't able to make your pet at ease there, we will grab our travel kit and come in your home.  Their health and comfort is our priority.

Do you paint nails for the holidays?

Yes...we love decorating for the holidays!  We use only non-toxic, water-based polishes in a large variety of colors.  The color won't last as long as Mom or Dad's, but they (hopefully) don't put their feet in their mouth either.

Why don't you offer baths or full grooms?

Friends and family who utilize our GREAT local groomers voiced that with our city growing, so were wait times for smaller, in-between-grooming services.  By limiting what we do to just those in-betweens, we're hoping to help more pets in less time!

Will you put nail caps on outdoor cats?

We don't.  Nail caps limit cats' ability to defend themselves or climb trees, which leaves them at risk.  Also, it's not recommended by the cap manufacturers.

Can we schedule appointments online?

Not yet, no.  For now, please call, email, or send us a note from our Contact Us page.  We'll get back with you as soon as we can!

Will I be asked to sign a release before services are performed?

Yes, a signed release is required before we can perform any services on your pet.  This form goes beyond this site to more thoroughly explain our safety and procedural protocols, and secures permission to seek profession care should an emergency ever arise. Also, if you have a completed release ready before we arrive for our first visit, you'll receive a $5 credit!  You can download it by clicking HERE.
